Announcing Our New Chief Executive Officer

It is with great pleasure that the American Association of Nurse Practitioners® (AANP) team and I welcome our new Chief Executive Officer Jon Fanning, MS, CAE, CNED, effective March 1, 2021. has over 20 years experience working organizations on strategic planning, driving membership growth, developing advocacy initiatives cultivating partnerships both domestically internationally. Since 2013, he had operational oversight Psychiatric (APA), 200 employees, members in 100 countries. His roles at APA have included chief strategy officer, officer interim financial officer. a master’s health care administration, bachelor’s communication political science, certified association executive nonprofit director. highly qualified brings leadership as well strategic, forward-thinking world view vision. practitioners (NPs) are not to him, personal understanding NP role, having been recipient high-quality for his family. The AANP Board Directors welcomes looks forward continued growth success an association, achieving goals outlined mission plan, representing more than 290,000 NPs who improving access 1 billion patient visits each year.
